Choose to Be Happy at Work

Happiness is mostly a choice. You can choose to be happy at work. It sounds simple, but it’s often difficult to put into action. We all wish to have the best employer in the world, but, let’s face it, we may not.

So, think positively about your work. Dwell on the aspects that you enjoy about work, and avoid negative people and gossip. Find coworkers you like and spend your time with them. Your choices at work largely define your experience. You can choose to be happy at work.

1 Peter 5:7, NLT Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Who Knew Wednesday

Today Todd and I celebrated Constitution Day!

We started the Afternoon Drive with a conversation with our very own Joe Rineheart and Dr. Christopher Devine, an assistant professor of political science at the University of Dayton, who’s speaking tonight about the Electoral College!

This event is tonight at 7 in Jetter Hall, Room 133 on the MVNU campus; Jetter Hall is the single-story brick building just east of the chapel parking lot.

If you want more information about this event, click here.

We also had chances for you to win, like always!

Today’s trivia question was:  “How many votes does Ohio have in the electoral college?”

Our answer: 18 votes

Congrats to Pat from Mount Vernon who guessed our Trivia and won that $5 gift card to Troyer’s of Apple Valley!

Our Sonfest Artists Trivia question is: “How many Band members are currently in the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus?”

Our answer: Five! Brothers Ronnie and Randy Winter, Josh Burke, Joey Westwood, and John Espy.
