The Dan Emmett Music and Arts Festival wrapped up on Sunday so today on the afternoon drive we gave you the rundown of everything that went down!

Thursday kicked off the festival with local favorite Phil Dirt and the Dozers, an oldies style musical group that has been a returning quality performance for years. Other events included the Cheer Competition with both Mt. Vernon Middle and High school placing first in their respective divisions. Finally the TaVaci and TaVci Elites had a chance to strut their stuff and they did not disappoint

Friday was interesting do to an unexpected downpour from 5-7pm. However despite the rain the Mt. Vernon High School marching band gave a great performance. Also a congratulations Jullian Short and Fredi Bockover for their performances in the Knox Idol finals. They placed first in the youth and young adult categories respectively

On Saturday, We got to see Lorrie Morgan Live in concert and even worked on video crew for her. Which was a blessing and great opportunity for the staff here at WNZR.

Sunday we had a lot of fun with our WNZR photo both, be sure to check out all of the photos on our Facebook page! Thanks to everyone who came out to take pictures with us

We wrapped up the show by talking about what we call our Leadership Retreat. From Wednesday Aug 15th through Sunday 17th the entire WNZR staff (including those on leadership team for the coming school year) will go on a retreat. There will be devotional time, team bounding and we will set our goals for this coming year.

And before we go a congratulations to Rob from Alexandria. He was our winner the Mystery Monday Mystery Box.

Thanks for listening!
